Gmail now open. No invitation or cell registration required.

I know most diggers probably already have Gmail accounts but still this is news. Gmail is no more closed beta. Anyone can now signup with no need to invitations or cell registration. And yes, this is not Google Accounts registartion. It's the real thing.
